Anthony Giddens

Giddens Anthony (*1938), britský sociolog, tvůrce teorie strukturace a teorie modernizace. V jeho díle se prolínají vlivy fenomenologie, marxismu, strukturalismu a mnohé další. Outline of the Theory of Structuration (1984), Durkheim (1986), The Consequences of Modernity (1990) – vyšlo česky s názvem Důsledky modernity (1998), Modernity and Self-Identity.
